Discover the joy of playing the Mountain Dulcimer, a beautiful and traditional folk instrument from the Appalachian Mountains! This hands-on workshop, hosted in conjunction with the Pocono Dulcimer Club, will introduce you to the basics needed to play a few simple folk songs. We’ll cover:

How to hold and strum the dulcimer
Simple strumming patterns
How to read dulcimer tablature
Playing tunes together in a fun and relaxed setting

No musical experience is necessary—if you can count, you can play! Whether you’re a complete beginner or just curious about this unique instrument, come join us and make some music! Dulcimers will be provided, or feel free to bring your own.
