Summer Field Trips
June 18, 2024-September 2, 2024
Offered Weekly Tuesday-Friday from 9am-5pm
Experience life on a traditional 1800s homestead. Dressed in period clothing, interpreters portray members of the Pennsylvania German family who lived here in the 18th and 19th centuries. Understand how changes in farming influenced our family farm through demonstrations of spinning, weaving, hearth cooking, food preservation, animal husbandry, and farming. Available to school-aged daycares, summer camps, and scout groups. However, this tour can also be adapted to suit the needs of adult groups, civic organizations, and special needs audiences.
