DESCRIPTION:Step back in time and experience life on a traditional 1800s Pennsylvania German farm. During the summer season\, costumed interpreters demonstrate the daily work\, skills\, and traditions that shaped rural life in northeastern Pennsylvania. Visit historic buildings\, meet the farm animals\, explore the gardens\, and learn about spinning\, weaving\, hearth cooking\, food preservation\, farming\, and more. \nEach week features rotating Summer Highlights demonstrations showcasing heritage crafts and historic trades. On Saturdays\, visitors can enjoy fresh bread samples from the outdoor bake oven. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate Independence Day and explore the stories of the American Revolution through the lives of the families who called Quiet Valley home. This year’s program highlights the upcoming America250 commemoration and the experiences of local Pennsylvania Germans during the Revolutionary War era. \nVisitors can enjoy old-fashioned children’s games\, an ice cream social\, flag lore\, and a history bee in the one-room schoolhouse.
