The Quiet Valley Experience
We offer a wide variety of programs and activities throughout the year exploring the agricultural cycle, livestock practices, delicious cuisine, community celebrations, social customs, and technology of a typical Pennsylvania family farm in the 19th century. We invite you to explore any of the major categories featured below and look forward to seeing you soon at Quiet Valley!

Quiet Valley offers hands-on history programs for all ages from preschool to high school and homeschool to public school, along with workshops for adults.
Farm Tours
Costumed interpreters host the public during summer tours of Quiet Valley’s historic buildings and grounds. School and group tours are available by appointment.

Seasonally, hundreds of Quiet Valley members and volunteers dress in 19th century costume to demonstrate heritage skills from bake oven cooking to blacksmithing.
Events
Year-round, Quiet Valley staff and select members run public events like Spooky Days in October, along with members-only events including Ice Harvest and Maple Sugaring Day.
